Stained Glass Open Studio

  • 4145 N High Street Columbus, OH United States (map)
Stained Glass Open Studio
$20.00

Love stained glass? Want to meet other crafters and talk shop? Have a stained glass project in mind and need to borrow tools or get input from a pro? Come to Kara’s stained glass open studio! Bring your own in-progress project or idea to work on and enjoy an afternoon of relaxed crafting.

This open studio is for people who have taken at least one stained glass class or have previous experience. If you're looking to start from scratch, we'd love to help you get started! You can find our beginner friendly classes on our class calendar, and monthly at the Franklin Park Conservatory.

The registration fee covers your use of the equipment and Kara's expertise! You can bring your own materials or use ours at wholesale cost. If you need a specific color of glass just let us know at least 3 days ahead of time, and we'll be sure to have it ready for you.

We ask that you limit your project to 18 inches or less, or book 2 spots for larger pieces due to space constraints.

Instructor Kara has been working with stained glass since 2007 and teaching in Columbus OH since 2016. Her stained glass art classes range from beginner to advanced.

Watch our calendar for meetups, new projects, stained glass workshops, and special events at Good Dea Craft School!

All students under the age of 16 are expected to have a guardian with them unless otherwise coordinated. Our Kids Art classes are drop-off classes.

Although we have a ventilation system and do our best to keep our customers safe, stained glass and jewelry classes that include soldering are not recommended for anyone during pregnancy.

THIS IS ART

We are going to get messy, break things, set things on fire, or whatever other fun trouble your class calls for. With this in mind:

Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting messy, or bring something you can wear over your clothing. Aprons and gloves will be available, as well.

If you have long hair, bring a clip or tie so you can pull it away from your face and keep it at a safe distance from flames, paint, or moving parts of machines.

Come with an open mind and ready to learn.

Be kind and encouraging to others and yourself. Let’s have some fun!

Refund Policy --

Good Dea Craft School and their instructors work hard to create classes that are exciting, fulfilling, and full of knowledge for our customers. All materials for classes must be purchased well ahead of time. Considering this, cancellations within two weeks of a scheduled class are non-refundable. In the case of sold-out classes, there is a possibility that the cancelled seat can be filled. If this occurs, it is at the sole discretion of the instructor and Good Dea Craft School to offer credit toward a future class or a refund. We do our best to reduce cost to our independent artist instructors and appreciate your understanding.
