Macramé is a textile art of wrapping, knotting, or weaving cord to produce a pattern. It is used to make a variety of functional and decorative items like plant hangers and wall pieces.

In this class, you will learn four types of macrame knots and use those knots to build a wall hanging. Bring your piece back to our advanced macramé class to learn how to dye it!

All materials provided.

******************
Classes are scheduled on a first-come first-served basis. If you have a large group, we suggest booking a private class through our contact page.

There is a small parking lot in the rear of our building and limited street parking. Under no circumstances do we recommend parking at Familiography. They may tow. Please consider carpooling when you can.

We use sharp instruments and fire in our classes. All students will be asked to sign a general waiver prior to the beginning of class.

All students under the age of 18 must have a guardian with them.

Although we have a ventilation system and do our best to keep our customers safe, stained glass and jewelry classes that include soldering are not recommended for anyone during pregnancy.

THIS IS ART! We are going to get messy, break things, set things on fire, or whatever other fun trouble your class calls for. With this in mind:

Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting messy, or bring something you can wear over your clothing. Aprons and gloves will be available, as well.

If you have long hair, bring a clip or tie so you can pull it away from your face and keep it at a safe distance from flames, paint, or moving parts of machines.

Come with an open mind and ready to learn.

Be kind and encouraging to others and yourself. Let’s have some fun!
